When the remakes of the original Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire games are released later this year, players will be able to create and customise their very own Secret Base. These bases will allow the creation of mazes which can be set up with traps for friends and StreetPass visitors to experience.
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will allow players to also create a QR code which lets others access their base more easily. Pokémon battle rules can be implemented into the Secret Base too, which will change it from a humble hideaway into a fully-fledge Pokémon Gym.
When encountering other players in bases you can send an invite to each other to visit your own base via the ‘Secret Pals’ feature. This will allow new skills to be unlocked such as faster Pokémon Egg hatching, raising Pokémon levels and more.
When in another player’s base you will be able to capture flags – the more flags you capture from different bases, the higher your rank will be, meaning you’ll unlock more rewards. Check out the screenshots of the Secret Base feature below.
