Dota 2 International 2014 Phase Two Play Offs Day One Results

Dota 2 International 2014

Some surprise results from the first day of the phase two playoff rounds on 9th July 2014.

Phase two of the International 2014 began yesterday, following Tuesday’s Wildcard Playoffs. This phase sees sixteen teams - four of which are winners of their regions, eleven were invited, and one team being the Wildcard Playoff winners – battle it out for their place in the main event next week. The top two teams of this phase of the tournament will advance into the upper bracket of the main event, whilst the following eight teams will enter playoff rounds in phase three this Saturday and Sunday. The remaining six teams will be eliminated from the tournament. At least 120 matches will be played over the four day days of the playoffs, with each team playing one another at least once.

With the first day over from yesterday and day two’s matches currently being played right now, there’s still a couple of days left which will bring us into phase three of the playoffs on Sunday. We’ve listed the results of Phase Two day one for you below which shows the current positions of each team and where they sit on the board; top two, middle eight, or bottom six. And of course there’s spoilers in here, so if you’re yet to watch your favourite team’s match don’t scroll down any further.

A surprise to see last year’s champions, Alliance, so far down in the standings, but we’ll have to see what the results at the end of today’s matches will bring.
