The playoff matches between the runner up qualifier teams for this year’s eSports tournament have taken place, and we’ve got the results for you right here.

On Tuesday 8th July four teams in the Wildcard Playoffs for this year’s Dota 2 International 2014 tournament battled it out for a place in the final stages of the competition.

The four teams, which were the runners up in their regions' qualifying rounds, were; Team Liquid from the Americas; MVP Phoenix from Southeast Asia; CIS Game from China; and Virtus.pro from Europe.

The matches were best of 3, with MVP beating Virtus.pro in the first two matches, securing their place in the Wildcard Finals. CIS Game lost in the same way to Team Liquid, with Liquid winning the first two matches also.

The final saw MVP vs Team Liquid, with Liquid coming out on top by beating the Southeast Asia runners up in both of the two matches played.

The first day of Phase Two of the tournament took place yesterday, and we’ll bring the results of those matches later today.
