New signing Alexis Sanchez says he is desperate to give back to Arsenal fans, and they are only too glad to have him at the club.
The Chilean international said, via Arsenal.com upon being unveiled: "I’m looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and to be playing for Arsenal in the Premier League and Champions League.
"I will give my best to Arsenal and want to make all the supporters happy.”
Arsenal beat competition from Liverpool and Juventus to sign the 25-year-old from Barcelona, while a lack of Champions League football seemingly discounted Manchester United.
The attacker is a game-changer for the Gunners, who will fit seamlessly into the attack, capable of playing in almost any position.
He also has a real eye for goal, scoring 19 in La Liga for Barcelona in 27 starts last season.
He recently impressed at the World Cup with Chile, scoring against Brazil, and the prospect of him linking up with Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil is mouth-watering for fans.
Supporters have been expressing their awe at the deal, making sure to praise manager Arsene Wenger, who took a little flak a fortnight back when spotted on his holidays in Brazil.
His and the club's ability to close a major deal for the second summer in a row is shrewd, and comes hours ahead of Arsenal's official kit unveiling, perfectly timed.
