Arsenal have completed a deal for Alexis Sanchez, whose arrival in London will send shivers up the spine of John Terry.
The Chelsea captain has bad memories of facing the Chilean, ones which stopped him experiencing the greatest night of the club's history, and led to a million internet meme's.
It was against Barcelona in 2012 in the Champions League semi-final second leg that Terry inexplicably decided to knee Alexis Sanchez in the backside.
He was instantly red carded and it appeared as though he had ended Chelsea's Champions League dream with it, reduced to 10 men in the Nou Camp.
Equally as unpredictably, Chelsea fought back to vanquish Barcelona and then beat Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in the final on penalties to lift the trophy.
Terry said after the incident: "I've seen the replay and it does look bad, i'm not that type of player to intentionally hurt anyone. I've raised my knee which I maybe shouldn't have done in hindsight. But hopefully people who know me as a person, as a player [know] I'm not that type of player."
The captain could not play against Bayern, but the image of him coming out in full kit to lift the trophy has gone down in football folklore.
Facing him again this coming Premier League season will remind the Englishman of his past mistake, and at 33, he will have to find a way to try to stop the Chilean within the laws of the game.
