Microsoft’s game creator Project Spark is due for release in October

Project Spark Sci Fi

Team Dakota and Microsoft Studios' game creator is released on 7 October in North America, 9 October Asia-Pacific countries and 10 October in Europe.

Project Spark is a game which allows players to create their own games. Simple. Using the tools which the game provides, you can use your imagination to create whatever type of video game you want, from RPGs, to tower defense games. Microsoft officially announced yesterday that the game will be available in retail stores beginning on 7th October.

For $39.99 the physical disc version of the game will include the Galaxies: First Contact pack, Sir Haakon ‘Hawk’ the Knight, Champion Quest: Void Storm and more. Microsoft have said that everything included in the retail version will also be available to download digitally on release too.

The release of the game will not affect the players who have been part of the beta since December 2013, so everything you’ve created and unlocked will stay the same, but the game will just receive an update.

The game is currently in open beta on Xbox One and Windows 8.1, so why not give it a try before its release in a few months. Also check out the E3 2013 trailer for the game below if you want to see what it's all about.
