Manchester United fans have had their say on who should stay and who should go from the current squad.
This summer is set to be one that will see an overhaul of the Manchester United squad. Last season was not good enough, and it is clear some deadwood needs to be shifted and some quality needs to be brought in. Louis Van Gaal has already made Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera his first two signings.
United fans all have their opinions on who should be brought in and who should be replaced and The Manchester Evening News gave the fans an opportunity to vote as to whether individuals from the current squad should be kept or moved on.
Unsurprisingly given the dissatisfaction with last season's performance, seven players received votes to leave the club from the majority of the fans whilst the rest were backed. The following players received 'should be sold' votes totalling more than 50%:
Most of the aforementioned players don't come as a surprise with Anderson, Ashley Young and Nani's time at the club seemingly coming to an end after failing to live up to their transfer fees.
Tom Cleverley was a scapegoat for much of last season, and he doesn't have the required quality to play for the club but he may be kept on. Marouane Fellaini was also lambasted last season and was another who didn't live up to his transfer fee. However he will most probably be kept on as the club try and get the best out of him.
Darren Fletcher narrowly had votes in favour of selling him, and he will struggle to get into the side now Ander Herrera has arrived. Bebe on the other hand has never really had much of a chance but after four years at the club he is unlikely to get on despite a promising loan spell in Portugal with Pacos de Ferreira last season.
Wilfired Zaha narrowly avoided the chop according to the fans as 53% of them thought he should be kept on. Whether Louis Van Gaal agrees with the fans remains to be seen, but he will probably have an idea on the players he wants to move on already.
