Neymar has sent a message of thanks to all those who have supported him following his World Cup-ending injury.
With Brazil set to take to the field later this evening, the Barcelona forward also posted a picture collage of his international teammates and manager, as he looked ahead to the semi-final against Germany.
Neymar fractured vertebrae in his back late on in the quarter-final match against Colombia, and having been the poster-boy for his nation’s campaign he will now have to watch their remaining exploits from afar.
“Today I will watch the match between Brazil and Germany on the outside,” Neymar wrote. “I’ll be one among the 200million fans.”
He went on to say that he wanted to be with everyone (fans and teammates) at next Sunday’s final should Brazil triumph this evening.
Without their star forward and their suspended captain, Thiago Silva, the host nation will have quite a challenge to overcome Joachim Loew’s side.
Never before has that 12th man been so important for Luiz Felipe Scolari’s side, and this evening Neymar will join them.
