Former Juventus and Real Madrid defender Fabio Cannavaro believes that Bayer Munich midfielder Toni Kroos is ‘a very good player’.

Toni Kroos is still a Bayern Munich player, but in Spain, they are already speaking as if he has joined Real Madrid.

Not that the Germany international midfielder has attempted to fend off suggestions that he is on his way to the European champions, saying that it is ‘not hard to find out’ the next move in his club career.

‘I've made a decision and can't say’, he told TZ. ‘I read things. It's not hard to find out. But I'm saying there is nothing done. First I want to play the World Cup and when finished my decision will be known. I will say it myself. Before then there is nothing. There’s one week of the World Cup left and then we will know more'.

It does indeed seem that Kroos, who has also been linked with Manchester United and Chelsea, will be a Madrid player sooner rather than later, and Italy legend Fabio Cannavaro believes that he will strengthen Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

‘He's a very good player’, the 40-year-old told Marca. ‘They have to try to keep winning with him on board. They have to forget the Champions League and stick with the same mindset. The obsession with La Decima isn't there anymore’.

Kroos is widely regarded as one of the best players in the world, and he will certainly make Ancelotti’s team better. Having been part of Bayern’s historic treble-winning side of 2012-13, the 24-year-old was an important element of Pep Guardiola’s team last season in which the Bavarian giants clinched the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal.

An important player for Germany at the ongoing 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil, if he does indeed join Los Blancos, then Kroos is likely to feature in an advanced midfield position at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Kroos can also drop deep or play as a central midfielder; after all, he is a complete midfielder, and in whichever position he features, he is going to be a major player for Madrid - if he joins the Spanish club.
