Nerlens Noel, Shabazz Nappier and Nick Johnson all made the highlight reel on the first day of the Summer League, some for the wrong reasons.
Rejoice basketball fans. Less than a month after the San Antonio Spurs were crowned as NBA champions, we're back. The NBA Summer League officially kicked off at the weekend in Orlando and it's first day provided us with plenty of highlights.
Today saw Nerlens Noel get his first points for the Philadelphia 76ers and he did it in style.
Receiving the ball in the post, Noel showed some nifty footwork and a head fake to throw down his first bucket with confidence.
Nick Johnson one-upped Noel's slam with a monster jam of his own against the Detroit Pistons.
After blowing past Peyton Siva, Johnson embarrasses Tim Ohlbrecht by dropping the hammer. No doubt Houston Rocket fans will be looking forward to seeing Johnson's athleticism on show come November.
Lastly, there was a grim moment for first-round Miami Heat draft pick Shabazz Napier. Napier was on the receiving end of a nasty crossover from second year player Phil Pressey of the Boston Celtics. Things can only get better for Napier after he went 3-15 from the field and had 8 turnovers in his first outing in a Heat jersey.
