Transfer Clock: 57 days until the transfer window closes, here are the latest big stories you need to know...
Arsenal rumoured to have had bid accepted for Alexis Sanchez, other reports indicate not
Arsenal continue to be linked with a swoop for Alexis Sanchez, and rumours have grown stronger over the last 24 hours. A report from Goal even claims the club have had a £32 million bid accepted from Barcelona, adding the Gunners are Sanchez's first choice.
The claims are however unconfirmed, with The Mail claiming alternately that the Gunners have a '£34m deal agreed in principle'. They write that Barcelona are waiting for Juventus to match or better such an offer, while in the background, the Luis Suarez transfer chase rumbles on.
The Mirror however state this evening there is no agreement between Arsenal and Barcelona, only that successful talks have been held between Arsenal and Sanchez's representatives:
"Liverpool and Juventus remain keen on him, as a deal has yet to be finalised, but the Gunners believe it is now a matter of settling on a fee with personal terms agreed."
Lazar Markovic transfer to Liverpool imminent
Reports in Portugal's most recognised newspaper O Jogo go a step further. They claim Markovic is due at Liverpool for a medical 'this week', to complete a transfer.
"Lazar Markovic is expected this week at Anfield to perform medical exams and sign a contract with Liverpool, which paid 25 million euros for the economic rights of the attacker."
The Mail report that it is the playmaker's release clause Liverpool have met, and there are 'only a few details to iron out', before the deal becomes official.
Divock Origi to Liverpool transfer also close
The BBC report that Liverpool have agreed a fee with Lille to sign Divock Origi. The Belgian striker is set to undergo talks with the club this week.
The possibility of Origi being loaned back to Lille for a year remains after the club's sponsor stated last week this was their intention as per condition of any sale.
No Manchester United bid for Arturo Vidal
Manchester United remain linked with a blockbuster swoop for Arturo Vidal, yet there is no actual progress on a deal.
United's best hope remains that Juventus decide they need the cash to help fund an offer for Arsenal linked Alexis Sanchez, but need to present an offer themselves first.
The Manchester Evening News are one of many to speculate that United could throw Nani into a possible bid for the Chilean.
