With Mathieu Debuchy's medical examination at Arsenal, yesterday, three names have cropped up for the Frenchman's replacement at Newcastle United.
According to the Daily Mail there are three main candidates to replace Arsenal-bound Mathieu Debuchy at Newcastle United next season.
The anticipated sale of the French right back is expected to raise £8 million in player sales and, while media speculation suggested that the Magpies would target one of the other right backs on Arsenal's radar - Serge Aurier of Toulouse FC and Cote d'Ivoire - recent reports indicate that one player from the Premier League or one of two from the Eredivisie will instead be looked at.
|Daryl Janmaat||Feyenoord||£4.4 million|
|Micah Richards||Manchester City||£10.56 million|
|Ricardo van Rhijn||Ajax||£3.96 million|
Out of all three listed above, Janmaat has the best recent pedigree as he has been part of a solid Netherlands defence at the FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.
The Feyenoord right back has attempted 13 tackles, ten clearances and seven interceptions while also providing one direct assist from just three appearances in the competition.
Micah Richards is perhaps the most renowned name within English football but has only sporadically played for the past two years while Ricardo van Rhijn, the cheapest option, has European experience with Ajax.
Meanwhile, Moussa Sissoko may leave St James' Park as he is "due to hold" showdown talks with manager Alan Pardew.
Sissoko has been linked with a move to AS Monaco and AS Napoli.
