Last season proved to be a breakthrough campaign for Spanish youngster Gerard Deulofeu. The Barcelona B star went on loan to Everton for 2013-14 and proved himself an excellent addition to the team.
His mazy dribbling, deceptive pace and rifled finish caught many a team unaware - his goal against Arsenal perhaps his most memorable.
But unfortunately for Everton, his excellence means he will not be returning.
The flying winger, who won his first full cap for Spain in a recent friendly against Bolivia, is all set to play a part in the Barcelona first-team next season under Luis Enrique - who he has worked with closely in the past.
In doing so he would be usurping the likes of Cristian Tello, Bojan Krkic and Isaac Cuenca in order to play alongside superstars such as Pedro, Andres Iniesta, Neymar, Lionel Messi, and perhaps, Luis Suarez.
The Uruguayan, who is currently banned for four months after biting Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup, is of course a former foe of Deulofeu's from Merseyside Derby fixtures. However, with Liverpool now said to be prepared to sell him for around £75 million, they might be team-mates next term - with Barca the favourites to snap him up.
And while speaking to Mundo Deportivo on the subject of playing with such big names he said:
"Yes, they are the best players, but I am very confident in myself, I think much of my chances and I work every day hoping to get my challenges. For now I'm on vacation. What you have to do is work hard and do what the coach decides. I think he [Suarez] is a very interesting player. For me it is one of the best strikers in the world, and if true he would just be a great signing."
