Five facts about reported Everton target Adama Traore

Everton have been linked with Adama Traore, so what do fans need to know about the Barcelona player?

Everton are reportedly in the race to sign Barcelona teenager Adama Traore on loan next season. If he arrives, he would be the second Barca youngster to move to Goodison Park in recent times, following Gerard Deulofeu’s temporary switch last season.

So for those Everton fans wanting to know more about Traore, here are five facts to get you started:

1) Adama Traore Diarra – or Traore for short – was born in Spain in 1996. He began his youth career Hospitalet before joining Barcelona’s academy in 2004.

2) The 18-year-old right-winger made his senior debut for Barcelona last year, coming on for Neymar against Granada.

3) Traore has made 26 appearances to date for Barcelona B, scoring five goals and setting up another four. He has also made five appearances in the UEFA Youth League, scoring two and setting up two.

4) The teenager also has Champions League experience – albeit briefly – after appearing as a late substitute in a match against Ajax.

5) Traore has played for Spain at every level from under-16 to under-19. He has made 18 appearances across the age-ranges, scoring one goal to date.
