All the latest transfer news and gossip from The Emirates this morning.
Arsenal are again being linked with a move for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender. The German international, who missed the World Cup this summer through injury, was a target for The Gunners last summer - but he went on to sign a new deal at the BayArena instead.
This summer he has already been linked with The Gunners, but he said he is not ready for the Premier League and would not be leaving.
However Arsenal want a new defensive midfielder and Arsene Wenger is ready to convince the player he is cut out for the Premier League.
Arsenal reportedly want him for £15 million - and he is the first choice ahead of Morgan Schneiderlin and Sami Khedira.
Arsenal are rumoured to have made an approach for Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado, according to reports in Spain.
The Colombian is coming off the back of an excellent World Cup and Serie A campaign - with The Gunners bid said to be €28 million for the 26-year-old.
Fiorentina have previously reiterated that their star player is not for sale.
The 29-year-old right-back is a versatile player and the director at his current club Al Ahly has stated:
“Fathi is staying with us till the last game of the league and we will not let him travel to England before the match against Smouha. Fathi did not ask to start his trial period at Arsenal before the matches against Zamalek or Petrojet. We have not yet guaranteed winning the league title so that we can allow Fathi to travel to England."
Of course it is is also being reported this morning that Arsenal have agreed a fee with Barcelona for Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez. The fee, said to be around the £32 million, will now see Arsenal begin negotiating with the star.
