Arsenal latest: Debuchy medical reportedly completed; Darlow linked

Mathieu Debuchy has reportedly completed a medical at Arsenal ahead of his expected move to The Gunners from Newcastle United.

Arsenal are in the market for a right-back as they look to replace the departing Bacary Sagna - who is on his way to Manchester City on a free transfer.

He told reporters at the weekend, after France exited the World Cup at the hands of Germany, that he would be on his way to Arsenal this summer.

The deal is believed to be worth €10 million for the French international and confirmation should now be just around the corner.

Arsenal are also after a new goalkeeper this summer - after the departures of Lukasz Fabianski and Emiliano Viviano this summer.

It is now being reported that Nottingham Forest's young stopper Karl Darlow. Sky Sports have reported that the young stopper to offer competition and back-up to Polish custodian Wojciech Szczesny.

Liverpool and Tottenham have also been linked with the 23-year-old.

Arsenal have handed contracts to three young talents this week. Teenagers Glen Kamara, Tafari Moore and Josh Vickers have all committed their long term futures to the Gunners after impressing in the youth set-up.

Kamara is a Finland youth international and Moore has featured for the England Under-17 team at the European Championships in the summer - which they won.

Vickers has spent time on loan at Canvey Island.

Thomas Vermaelen has revealed he is unsure over his Arsenal future. The Belgian, who has been recently linked with Manchester United, has said:

"I really do not know where I will play, Arsenal or elsewhere next season. All my attention went to the World Cup. I will see when I talk with Arsenal.”
