Liverpool transfer news: Defender and forward tipped for Anfield exit; Origi latest

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Liverpool

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is a transfer target for Turkish side Galatasaray according to the Sunday People.

The centre-back has been linked with an Anfield exit for a while, and the latest claim is that he would receive a minimum of £100,000-a-week if he makes the move.

With Mamadou Sakho excelling at the World Cup for France and the likelihood of Brendan Rodgers signing at least one new central defender this summer, it would be no surprise to see Skrtel move on.

And Iago Aspas could follow him, with the same newspaper claiming the Soanish forward could be set for a return to La Liga this time with Sevilla for around half the fee the Reds paid for him just 12 months ago.

In other news, Liverpool’s reported chase for Belgium wonder-kid Divock Origi may have hit the skids with Borussia Dortmund said to be tracking the situation.

However, the Reds' alleged intention to loan him straight back to his current club Lille could see them still get one of the breakthrough performers from this summer’s World Cup.
