Arsenal need a new forward and they have been linked with a whole host of them in recent months, including Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez. They are not the only ones to be linked with the extremely talented Chilean international, but there is a belief within many of the numerous reports doing the rounds that the Gunners could win this particular race.
And now Spanish journalist Guillem Balague believes the Gunners need only give Barcelona what they want and Sanchez will end up in North London.
It seems pretty simple when you put it like that. After all, give any club what they want for a player and you are likely to get them. But if Balague is right and Barca only want £30million for the 25-year-old, Arsene Wenger should get that particular cheque signed as soon as possible.
Some players are overpriced, but Sanchez is well worth the £30million it would reportedly take to sign him, especially when you consider Arsenal spent £12.4million more than that for Mesut Ozil less than 12 months ago.
I am convinced that if Arsenal put on the table the money Barcelona want for him, around 30m, Alexis will end up at the Emirates.— Guillem Balague (@GuillemBalague) July 6, 2014
