Arsenal and Liverpool linked Alexis Sanchez has returned to Barcelona.

Arsenal and Liverpool-linked star Alexis Sanchez has flown back to Barcelona with his mind focused on resolving a summer departure according to reports.

While the Reds striker Luis Suarez is reportedly close to joining the Nou Camp outfit, Chilean international Sanchez on the other hand has long been linked with an exit.

According to the Spanish publication AS, the Catalan club have two offers on the table for the former Udinese winger, with one of those a return to Serie A with Italian champions Juventus and the other a move to Arsenal.

While not specifically stating that Alexis is interested in a potential move to either club, the Spanish newspaper AS mention that the player is heading back to Barcelona with an exit in mind.

“Alexis Sánchez is currently on his way to Barcelona, halfway through his summer holidays, with his mind focused on resolving a move away from the club,” As reports.

The figures quoted for the player range from €30million to €35million, and it has been suggested that his Barcelona exit will be competed the moment Suarez’s arrival from Liverpool is official.

Renowned for his lightening-quick feet and non-stop movement, Sanchez would be a hit at the Emirates and his potential link-up play with German international Mesut Ozil would be worth the entrance fee alone.

The Gunners are not short on attacking midfielders, hence why Arsene Wenger opted against signing Cesc Fabregas, but what Alexis can offer the club is genuine pace and movement down the flanks as well as an alternative to Olivier Giroud up front.

Any deal to sign him, however, may yet face a number of obstacles so for now, Arsenal can only sit back and hope for further developments from Barcelona's end.
