All the latest summer transfer news from Serie A...
Inter Milan are undergoing something of a rebuild under new owner Erick Thohir, and they've already managed to secure the signature of Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic to improve their defence - and now they're looking to bring in another centre back from the Premier League.
This time, their attention is on a younger defender in the form of Chelsea's Kurt Zouma. The Frenchman arrives from St. Etienne this summer but with a number of defenders already at Jose Mourinho's disposal, Inter are hopeful of bringing the 19-year-old to Italy on a season-long loan deal.
This week, Napoli missed out on the signature of French international midfielder Maxime Gonalons after the 25-year-old turned down a move to Italy in order to stay with Lyon. Napoli boss Rafael Benitez is still on the lookout for a new holding midfielder, and is now looking towards former club Liverpool.
Brazilian Lucas Leiva, 27, was brought to Anfield by Benitez back in 2007, but with Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson, Joe Allen and now new signing Emre Can all ahead of the former Gremio man in the pecking order, the Reds could look to sell Lucas if Napoli firm up their reported interest.
Roma are another team who've been looking to add to their midfield this summer, and whilst they've snapped up former Barcelona and Valencia star Seydou Keita, they're also set to complete the signing of Fenerbahce youngster Salih Ucan this weekend - who says he simply couldn't turn down a move to the Italian capital.
"I will always be a fan of Fenerbahce, but I couldn’t say no to the chance to play for Roma," said the Turkish international. "So I have to say farewell. I hope to be successful in Europe this season."
