Manchester United will embark on a tour of the USA this summer - facing off against slightly more challenging teams then they did in Asia last year.
They kick off with a game against the LA Galaxy before taking on the likes of AS Roma, Inter Milan and Real Madrid across the States.
Of course a tour is not only about the opposition you face, and the results you get from those games - but also the experience of mixing it up with your team-mates for an extended period of time - and if you are a newbie, getting to know the guys.
For United, they already have two new signings in the bag - with England left-back Luke Shaw arriving from Southampton and classy midfielder Ander Herrera moving in from Athletic Bilbao. The combined fee for both players is a staggering £58.8 million - so it is certainly important they are made to feel at home as quick as possible.
Yesterday David De Gea eluded to that fact in an interview with Manchester United's official website. Now the new boys have spoken to the same source.
"I can’t wait to meet everyone and get started. It’s something I’m really looking forward to."
During the trip across the pond, Louis van Gaal's United team will take on LA Galaxy in Pasadena, AS Roma in Denver, Inter Milan in Washington DC and Real Madrid in Ann Arbor.
Shaw was recently in Miami for England's World Cup warm-up match against Honduras and is looking forward to returning to the States with his new club.
"I really love America. When I was younger, I went to a tournament out there in Dallas. It’s a great country - with nice weather too!"
But Herrera is more excited about facing off against some of the biggest teams in world football. Once again he made it clear that this move was a dream come true:
"I'm really excited to go with United to America. We will play some big games against Roma, Inter Milan and Real Madrid. It will be a dream for me to pull on the United shirt against them."
United's first game of their pre-season tour is on July the 23rd at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
