Blind has been sensational for the Dutch, even prompting Arsenal legend Thierry Henry to wax lyrical over his effectiveness at the beginning of the tournament while this HITC: Sport data study implied that the attack-minded Netherlands would not be so exemplary going forward were it not for a player of Blind's timely runs, creativity from wide and overall quality.
Blind, of Ajax, may be 24-years of age but he is still relatively inexperienced on the international stage (15 caps to his name) and this is his first taste of major tournament football. His performance level has not gone unnoticed by the British media and he has been mooted as a possible Old Trafford purchase due to his versatility - he is competent at left back and defensive midfield.
Another Dutch star United have their on is Memphis Depay, who has been likened to a young Cristiano Ronaldo. Van Persie (pictured above with Depay) said: "What I like about Memphis is that he picks things up so quickly. It is not so easy to be here at a World Cup because the level is so high. Every day, the maximum is required of everyone - including him.
"What he is doing is very mature for his age," said the clinical striker of 20-year-old PSV Eindhoven winger. "It's a childhood dream. We do click well and I really love his beautiful style of play."

Depay has made three appearances for the Dutch under Louis van Gaal during the FIFA tournament but is yet to compete for a full 90 minute match.
Regardless, what he has done in the 100 minutes has been commendable as he has, thus far, received a touch on the football every 1.2 minutes, attempted a pass every 2.7 minutes, has attempted 11 dribbles in total, created one goal-scoring opportunity (which turned into a direct assist) and has underlined his precision in front of goal with a 60% shot accuracy and two goals.
What is most extraordinary, is the fact that he has been responsible for affecting the scoreline with either a goal or an assist every 33 minutes he is on the field.
Perhaps it is the mentoring from van Persie that has benefitted him most, as he recently said: "He has the experience, the knowledge. I appreciate him very much. I know I'm fortunate to learn off him."
Valued by transfermarkt.co.uk at £4.4 million, Depay is likely to command a much higher fee now because of the excitement he has generated with the Dutch.
He has also been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur.
