Brazil's 2-1 triumph over Colombia in the second quarterfinal of the 2014 World Cup on Friday, July 4 in Fortaleza may be marred by the news that the Selecao's superstar Neymar could be absent from their semifinal clash with Germany.
Neymar has been in particularly lethal form for Brazil throughout the competition, succeeding with 17 dribbles, creating 13 goal-scoring opportunities for his team-mates (one of which turned into an assist), attempting 18 shots and scoring four goals - all from five appearances.
His loss, should he not be fit for Brazil's next clash, will be noticeable.
Neymar was injured from a Juan Camilo Zuniga foul, as is pictured above. He required medical treatment immediately, prior to being stretchered off the field of play and taken to hospital.
It is feared that his back injury "does not look good", according to Brazilian media.
