Tottenham latest: 'Sensational' bid could land Lascelles, boost in pursuit of Lukaku?

A selection of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur this Friday evening.

It will take a 'sensational' offer to land for Tottenham to land one of their targets in the form of Nottingham Forest's Jamaal Lascelles according to their manager Stuart Pearce

The centre-half has also caught the attentions of Queens Park Rangers, who have had a bid of £4 million turned down for the 20-year-old, but it is said it would take an offer at least double that amount.

Pearce is quoted in the Daily Telegraph, saying: "The only way I would accept an offer for our best young players is if it’s sensational and enables me to strengthen the team, so I know at the end of any negotiations I’m stronger than when I started at the offset.

“But the bottom line is we don’t take money for our best young players. The chairman has got enough financial clout to trust my judgment on that. There is no pressure to sell the players."

Spurs have potentially received a boost if they are still interested in signing Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, after reports of a loan move to Atletico Madrid have fallen through.

The young Belgian striker had an impressive loan spell at Everton last season, with the Toffees believed to be interested in signing the player.

Gylfi Sigurdsson is attracting the interest of Championship side of Reading according to the Daily Express, as they have picked up on a text posted on twitter involving the club's owner.

Sigurdsson has been linked with a move to former club Swansea City, after it was reported the Swans wanted the Icelandic midfielder on loan as part of a move to take left-back Ben Davies to White Hart Lane.
