Arsenal latest: Casillas phonecall and Keto signing confirmed

Arsene Wenger has reportedly contacted Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas. The Spanish goalkeeper has had a torrid season. He has played second fiddle to Diego Lopez at the Bernabeu all campaign before playing poorly at the World Cup as Spain were the first team knocked out in Brazil.

But the Arsenal boss is reported to have offered him a life-line for next season, the offer of being Arsenal's number one goalkeeper.

The rumours which emanate from Spain are sure to leave Wojciech Szczesny worried about his future. Although Arsenal are certainly in need of some reinforcements in the goalkeeping department after the departures of Lukasz Fabianski and Emiliano Viviano.

Arsenal and Liverpool could be hijacked in their bid to sign Alexis Sanchez by Manchester United. The Chilean has been strongly linked with the former duo however the latter are said to be keen on a deal.

Sanchez is believed to be one of the most wanted men in European football after it was claimed he wanted an exit from Barcelona, in order to play more regular first-team football.

But United are said to be keen on the player and feel they can trump their Premier League rivals for his signature.

Arsenal have however defeated Liverpool to the coveted signing of talented 16-year-old Hugo Keto. The Finnish youngster is a talented goalkeeper who has left HJK Helsinki to become a Young Gunner.
