Serie A transfer latest: AC Milan eye move for reported Chelsea target

Lavezzi

All the latest summer transfer news from Serie A...

Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi is currently in Brazil for the World Cup, but that hasn't stopped fervent speculation over the Argentine's future. Chelsea have been repeatedly suggested as potential suitors for the 29-year-old, but a possible return to Italy could be on the cards for the former Napoli star.

AC Milan are actively seeking a winger, and whilst Verona's Juan Iturbe appears to be their top target, they also reportedly interest in offering Lavezzi a return to Serie A if they can't land his younger compatriot. It's unlikely that any deal for Lavezzi will be completed until Argentina are knocked out of the World Cup, but there is certainly interest in his services.

Despite already having the likes of Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci and Angelo Ogbonna, Juventus continue to be linked with a move to sign another centre back. Marcos Rojo from Sporting Lisbon was the hot name last week, yet today it's a Premier League outcast linked.

Manchester City's Matija Nastasic starred for Fiorentina in Serie A, which ultimately led to his move to the Etihad Stadium in 2012. Yet whilst the 21-year-old impressed in his first season under Roberto Mancini, he's found first team football much harder to come by with Manuel Pellegrini at the helm, prompting speculation of a return to Italy, with both Juve and Roma reportedly interested.

Meanwhile, former AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia is on the lookout for a new club having been released by the San Siro outfit this summer. At 32, Amelia offers bags of experience to any club looking for another goalkeeper, and the player's agent suggested that West Brom wanted to bring his client to the Premier League.

"Are West Brom looking at him? Well it is a possibility," said Franco Zavaglia. "He would do well in England, we shall have to wait and see what happens."
