Manchester United transfer news: LvG tells club to sell Fellaini, eyes up first Dutch arrival

A round up of transfer stories this morning about Manchester United.

Louis van Gaal has reportedly told Manchester United to sell midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

The Belgian has impressed at the World Cup but the Daily Mail suggests United’s Dutch boss doesn’t believe he’s good enough.

Any move this summer would come just a year after the club paid Everton £27.5 million to sign him.

Manchester United are reportedly set to snap up Ajax youngster Timothy Fosu Mensah.

United scouts watched the 16-year-old play in a youth tournament last season, which Ajax won.

Mensah can play anywhere across the back four as well as a holding role in midfield.

Several sources have suggested LvG is keen on doing a deal for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.

The 22-year-old has been consistently linked with a move to Old Trafford, even when David Moyes was in charge of the club.

If he signs, he could become the most expensive signing this summer with a £37 million price tag.
