Sunset Overdrive is a third-person action game in which you must save Sunset City from a hoard of energy drink guzzling mutants. The environment is your ally as you jump, grind and bounce your way throughout the city, using ridiculous weaponry and customising your character as your progress.
In the latest video footage of the game we’re talked through the 8-player co-op mode; Chaos Squad. Chaos Squad allows players to vote on different types of missions to tackle together, using all of their weapons, clothing and skills picked up in the single player part of the game.
Completing missions in Chaos Mode can unlock rewards to take back to the single player section of the game too. After each mission is complete, two more missions are made available to vote on, throwing up new objectives in different areas.
After completing various missions you can take part in 'Night Defense', placing traps and setting up your strategy to take on the waves of enemies trying to destroy your vats of Overcharge. From the footage we’ve previously seen of Sunset Overdrive, it certainly looks fast-paced and chaotic, but this co-op mode looks like it just turned up the tempo a whole lot more. Take a look at the video below and let us know what you think.
