La Liga transfer latest: Rumoured Arsenal and Liverpool target nears €12m Barca exit

Cristian Tello

All the latest summer transfer news from La Liga...

With Barcelona undergoing a complete makeover this summer, a number of players will no doubt leave the club. Victor Valdes, Carles Puyol and Cesc Fabregas have already left in one capacity or another, and now it seems that young winger Cristian Tello will follow them out of the Camp Nou exit door.

The 22-year-old, a reported target for Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool, is likely to be forced out of the club by Gerard Deulofeu's return, and he now looks poised to reunite with his former Spain Under-21 manager Julen Lopetegui at Porto. A €12m (£9.5m) fee has been rumoured, and the deal looks to be nearing its completion.

Meanwhile, Real Sociedad were looking to strengthen their attack even with the confirmation that Carlos Vela would be staying at the club. They have now completed a deal to bring Heerenveen's Icelandic striker Alfred Finnbogason to San Sebastian after the 25-year-old hit a stunning 59 goals in just 66 games for the Dutch side.

"I feel really good and I’m happy to have signed for La Real," Finnbogason said. "I really want to train with my new teammates. [The club] showed great interest in me and that’s really important for a player. What I perceive from La Real is that it’s a big family, and I’ve seen it from the moment they spoke to me. It’s what I’ve always done, score goals, and so I’ll do it for La Real. I’ll do the maximum possible to score a lot of goals for La Real."

Elsewhere in La Liga, Granada are looking bring Blackburn forward Ruben Rochina back to Spain yet again. The former Barcelona B man spent most the last two seasons in his homeland on loan with Real Zaragoza and Rayo Vallecano, but with the latter unable to sign him permanently, Granada are lining up a swoop.

The Blackburn flop, 23, looks to have no future at Ewood Park, and a permanent return to La Liga may be in the best interest of all parties.
