Italy reports: €30m Balotelli up for sale; Monaco at front of queue

AC Milan

AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has reportedly been put up for sale but the Gunners may stand to lose out as AS Monaco and Liverpool queue up.

Corriere dello Sport have claimed that Mario Balotelli is now available for imminent purchase in the summer market as AC Milan are willing to hold discussions over a transfer.

For €30 million interested parties can sign the controversial Italian who was once-linked with an Arsenal switch, competed with Italy in the World Cup tournament and has proven ability in front of goal in Seria A, the Premier League and internationally.

Arsene Wenger, though, cooled his interest in the striker while Liverpool's link may just be a simmer compared to AS Monaco side who are reportedly hot on closing the gap on big-spending, Ligue 1 winning Paris Saint-Germain.

Balotelli could be used as a Luis Suarez replacement should Barcelona continue to test Brendan Rodgers' resolve over the Uruguayan's price-tag and Monaco stand to lose out on Radamel Falcao, who Real Madrid are looking at to fortify their front-line.

Positionally-astute Balotelli, 23, has returned 30 goals and 12 assists from 86 appearances since joining Milan from Manchester City.
