The Grand Theft Auto franchise has come under fire yet again, but this time it’s for a different reason.
Grand Theft Auto 5, one of the best selling games of all time, is under fire yet again, but this time it’s not about controversy surrounding violence, as it usually seems to be. Actress Lindsay Lohan has filed a law suit against the creators of GTA 5, Rockstar Games and its publisher Take-Two Interactive, reports Forbes. Lohan is claiming that the developers have included a character in the game that resembles her – Lacey Jonas.
Forbes reported that Lohan contacted her lawyers last December about the apparent resemblance, but nothing seems to have come of it until now.
The suits claims “the portraits of the Plaintiff (Lohan) incorporated her image, likeness, clothing, outfits, Plaintiff’s clothing line products, ensemble in the form of hats, hair style, sunglasses, jean shorts worn by the Plaintiff that were for sale to the public at least two years”
We can't really see this lawsuit carrying any weight, as the character appears to be an amalgamation of many celebrities of a particular type, but we'll just have to wait an see what happens.
