Manchester United and Chelsea both stand to lose out as Toni Kroos now seems destined to transfer from Bayern Munich to Real Madrid.
Real Madrid have "reached a deal with Bayern" to acquire the services of coveted pass master Toni Kroos in an agreement that will see the Bundesliga kings gross €25 million for a player worth substantially more.
The La Liga heavyweights have effectively netted a bargain for the midfielder as Kroos' contract was due to expire next summer and the player seemingly had no intention to extend terms at the Allianz Arena. Interest in his signature was also generated in the Premier League, with Manchester United and Chelsea both linked with the German international.
However, according to MARCA, it is Real who have capitalised on the contractual situation.
It is unclear when the transfer will be confirmed as there are "minor details" to be ratified, particularly when it comes to add-ons.
What appears certain is that Los Blancos have landed one of the most cultured passers currently competing in world football.

In the World Cup tournament in Brazil, Kroos has been an ever-present in Joachim Low's Germany team. Extraordinarily, he receives almost 120 touches of the football on a per game basis, 98 of which are passes (which have a 91% accuracy rating).
Almost a third of his pass attempts are towards goal and a quarter are directed into the attacking zone.
Kroos will be key in dictating the flow of Germany's upcoming quarterfinal game against France at the Estadio Maracana in Rio de Janeiro on Friday, July 4.
