Manchester United to sell Fellaini?
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal wants to sell Marouane Fellaini, report The Mail. The Belgian international has been a disappointment since his £27.5 million move. The paper describe the midfielder as an 'unmitigated disaster', with Van Gaal's assessment being that he is 'not a United player.' United will however be lucky to recoup anywhere close to £20 million for the midfielder, and prospective buyers may be in short quantity with no standout destinations.
Sporting Lisbon have meanwhile made their position on William Carvalho clear. United can have him, but only if they pay his £37 million release clause, report the Mail also.
Arsenal and Liverpool battle for Alexis Sanchez
The transfer chase between Arsenal and Liverpool for Alexis Sanchez is hotting up, with both sides making overtures regarding his signature, report multiple sources. Spanish football pundit Guillem Balague suggests that Arsenal are currently leading the chase, having made the Chilean international a very attractive contract offer. Barcelona want as much as €40 million for his signature. Sanchez's position at the club is however being weakened by their pursuit of Luis Suarez.

The Guardian report that talks between Liverpool and Barcelona have been held over the transfer of Luis Suarez, and a £70 million opening bid for the Uruguayan has been submitted. The paper report that Liverpool have descibed the talks as 'productive', but they are to hold out for £80 million, just shy of the world record fee paid by Real Madrid for Gareth Bale last summer. The alternative, which the Reds are keen on, is to demand Alexis Sanchez to be included as part of the deal, with him not part of the original offer. They would also have to persuade the Chilean to lead their attack, and snub Arsenal.
Kurt Zouma to Monaco?
New Chelsea signing Kurt Zouma is being linked with a switch to AS Monaco, write The Star. Zouma, 19, was bought in January but loaned back to Saint Etienne and is due to finally meet up with his new Blues teammates this pre-season, but it could be short-lived. Jose Mourinho is apparently unconvinced about the teenager's readiness to cover John Terry and Gary Cahill and may elect to send him out on loan back to Ligue 1 for another year, with Champions League football also on offer at Monaco.
