Let's cast our eyes back to this exact day, the 30th June 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 30th June 2013…
Liverpool confirmed the signature of Kolo Toure on a free transfer. The former Arsenal defender was available for free after his contract with Manchester City expired at the end of the 2012-13 season.
Liverpool were after defensive reinforcements after the retirement of their club legend Jamie Carragher.
Toure offered the experience and ability that Brendan Rodgers was after and it was a shrewd move by the boss.
Toure offered good cover but overall his performances were not superb and he played just 20 Premier League games in 2014-15 and will be hoping for more game time next season, and can fend off his persistent groin struggles.
Brazilian side Corinthians confirmed that they had agreed a fee with Tottenham Hotspur for the services of Selecao international Paulinho. The box-to-box midfielder was being linked with several top teams but it seemed as though Spurs were going to be the lucky recipients.
The reported fee was rumoured to be around £17 million for his services.
Four days later the deal was confirmed - for £17 million.
Thiago Alcantara's reported deal to join Manchester United was 'very close' a year ago today. The Spanish international was discussing a deal with United after they had reportedly met Barcelona's release clause for the player.
However the deal had become protracted and some were concerned a deal was going to be laborious. That it was, because it never happened.
Thiago joined his former boss Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich, after David Moyes was reportedly convinced by Ryan Giggs not to sign the player, on the 14th July.
