Manchester City latest: Young defender to go on loan and Richards set to leave

All the latest news, views and transfer rumours from the Etihad…

Manchester City have reportedly agreed personal terms with Mehdi Bentia ahead of a possible move from Roma.

The Express claims the Moroccan centre-back could be heading to the Etihad after a deal was agreed in principle. However it is also claimed the Italian side want to sign a replacement before allowing Benatia to leave.

In other news, Talk Sport has picked up on reports from Italy claiming Juventus are interested in signing City defender Matija Nastasic.

The Serbian centre-back suffered an injury-hit campaign and it is now claimed the Turin giants want to sign him as defensive cover.

One player who is likely to leave is Micah Richards, with the BBC reporting that the Blues are willing to listen to offers for the versatile defender.

Arsenal and Liverpool are among the clubs reportedly interested in the 26-year-old, who still has a lot to offer if he is given regular first-team football.

And finally, EDS player Ellis Plummer will spend next season on loan at Scottish club St Mirren.

The news was announced on the Blues’ official website, as the 19-year-old looks to get the experience that could ultimately see him push for a starting spot at the Etihad Stadium.
