Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly looking at bringing in another right-back because of concerns over Kyle Walker's fitness with Serge Aurier the latest name to be linked despite long-term Arsenal interest in the Toulouse defender.
Daryl Janmaat, Nathaniel Clyne and Aurier have all been linked with a move to Spurs this summer, but Walker and Kyle Naughton are both already at the club and perhaps Pochettino needs to strengthen the squad elsewhere.
All three targets are attacking fullbacks, something that the Argentine manager wants in his side but Walker and Naughton can both perform the role well.
Spurs definitely need to boost their options at left-back and Ben Davies is close to agreeing a move with the North London club as Pochettino's first signing since taking over, but the other side of defence is arguably strong enough as it is.
Naughton played 22 times for Spurs last season and was ever-present during the second-half of the campaign as Walker struggled with a pelvic injury that ruled him out of the World Cup with England.
Walker is still the first-choice at right-back for Spurs but Pochettino has concerns over his fitness ahead of the new season and may look to bring in a replacement for Naughton to compete with Walker.

Aurier and Janmaat were the most productive in terms of goals or assists last season, though Walker still created more chances than the Toulouse man.
Naughton was the least effective going forward of all the compared options at right-back but he did play the least amount of games.
Walker is still good enough to be the first-choice right-back at the club, and although many will argue that Naughton should be replaced, it will only cause problems if there were to be two quality options in the same position.
The right-back area is not a concern for Pochettino and more emphasis should be placed on bringing in a left-back and reinforcing the centre of the defence as well before the right side is even thought about.
