Lazio have been eyeing Feyenoord defender Stefan de Vrij for some time and don't seem fazed by Manchester United closing in.
The 22-year-old talent is being widely tipped to complete a £7 million switch to Man United as soon as Holland's World Cup campaign comes to an end.
The paper goes so far to say that Lazio sporting director Igli Tare is certain he will be able to secure De Vrij's services when he returns from Brazil.
It is suggested that Lazio secured a provisional agreement with the player before he travelled to the World Cup and they believe that will still hold.
However, these kinds of provisional discussions are very rarely honoured, especially with a major tournament coming along and changing a player's value drastically.
Il Tempo suggests that Lazio are still trying to reach an agreement with Feyenoord, who are demanding at least £7.5 million and the Dutch club are likely to try and encourage a bidding war, which Lazio would almost certainly lose.
De Vrij may also back out of any verbal agreement with Lazio if he finds himself the recipient of attractive offers from clubs like Manchester United.
