Chelsea transfer news: Luis stops talking to Atletico, Lichtsteiner becomes key target

Stamford Bridge Outside

A round up of transfer stories about Chelsea this morning.

The Express claims Filipe Luis has stopped all contact with Atletico Madrid as he looks to force through a move to Chelsea.

The Blues have been consistently linked with a move for the Brazilian left-back, who could join Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge ahead of next season.

Contract talks between Luis and Atletico are thought to have stalled with the player now seemingly keen to move to West London.

Chelsea are one of the sides being linked with a potential move for Juventus star Stephan Lichtsteiner.

The right-back has been in talks over a new deal with the Serie A side but no agreement is thought to have been reached.

Arsenal are also thought to be interested as they seek a replacement for the outgoing Bacary Sagna.

Samuel Eto’o has said an emotional goodbye to Chelsea fans after his year with the club.

The Cameroonian did a decent job in the Chelsea attack last season despite questions over his age and efficiency.

“Thank you to the Amazing @chelseafc fans for having given me the opportunity to be a blue. It was an honour to me!!! BLUE is THE color!! And me Samuel Eto'o Ello Ello will forever be a blue!!” he wrote on his Instagram page.
