Reports today claim that Arsenal have done a deal with Newcastle United for their right-back Mathieu Debuchy.

The former Lille star is currently playing a starring role for France at the World Cup in Brazil. Arsenal have been linked with plenty of right-backs recently, to replace the departed Bacary Sagna.

Now they have reportedly agreed a £12 million with Newcastle for the man keeping Sagna out of the French national XI.

The deal will be announced after France exit the World Cup.

The Gunners have reportedly made an offer for Barcelona attacker Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean has been one of the stars of the World Cup so far but is believed to want a move from Barcelona in order to play regular first-team football.

Barcelona have confirmed that offers have been made for the player's services and now it seem Arsenal were one of those keen.

Reports in Spain this morning suggest Arsenal have bid around £19.4 million for the player.

Liverpool, Juventus, Manchester United and Manchester City have also been linked with the player this summer and Arsenal are looking for another forward option.

Arsenal are being linked with a move for young Irish full-back Brian Lenihan this week. The 20-year-old, who is also a target for Bournemouth and Aston Villa, has been in great form for Cork City in his homeland and has been scouted by Arsenal's chief scout Steve Rowley.

Potentially the next success story in the Premier League from Ireland after Seamus Coleman it will be interesting to see how this deal develops.
