Tottenham latest, reported £50m transfer budget, more on Dawson's future

A selection of the latest transfer stories involving Tottenham Hotspur this Tuesday evening.

Tottenham Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino has around £50 million to spend this summer according to the Daily Telegraph.

Despite spending in excess of £100 million last summer all of that money was recouped meaning that the new boss can be given a sizeable budget according to the report.

Talks seem to be continuing between Hull City and Tottenham over Michael Dawson's move to the KC Stadium according to the Daily Mail.

For the best part of a week it has been reported that Dawson will move to the Tigers for around £5 million. The Mail has reported that Queens Park Rangers are monitoring the situation which could see Dawson reunited with former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp - though Hull remain firm favourites.

Ryan Fredericks is hoping to break into the first team this season like Harry Kane and Andros Townsend did last term.

Fredericks had a spell on loan away from White Hart Lane at Millwall, and London24 have picked up on quotes from the official website from the 21-year-old full back, who cites Kane and Townsend - who also had loan spells away from the club - as an inspiration to try and get into the first team.

He said: “It’s a cliché, but seeing them does make you believe in yourself and that you have a chance to do it as well. I’m lucky that I’ve managed to play as well this season and it gives you confidence to go out there and play well, you believe you can do it and I’ll try to get another chance.

“I’ve played with Andros and Harry for a while now and you look at Andros – he went on to play for England. You also see the likes of Ross Barkley at Everton coming through and these are players you’ve played against through the years, so it does give you confidence.”
