E3 2014 Critics Awards name Evolve Best in Show

Multiple awards given to Evolve and No Man’s Sky, Super Smash Bros named best fighter

The results of the E3 2014 Critics Awards are in with a bundle of praise for Turtle Rock’s upcoming co-op shooter Evolve. The awards are voted upon by 39 leading games publications covering multiple game genres platforms and hardware.

Coming out tops from the critics perspective Evolve has been given four awards including the prestigious best game in show. An easy choice for many as best indie game, No Man’s Sky also received multiple awards including the equally prestigious Special Commendation for Innovation.

Also noteworthy is Oculus Rift chosen as Best Hardware/Peripheral, Super Smash Bros as best fighting game with the Wii U version and best handheld game on the 3DS and the long delayed but much anticipated Batman: Arkham Knight as Best Action/Adventure Game.
