Arsenal transfer news: Second bid for Vermaelen? Gunners keen on Khedira deal

A round up of transfer stories this morning about Arsenal.

Manchester United will reportedly make an £11 million offer to sign Thomas Vermaelen from Arsenal.

United have already seen a £6 million offer rejected, with Arsenal thought to be holding out for double that initial amount.

Vermaelen’s representatives recently denied an agreement has been reached between his player and the Old Trafford club.

The Independent claims Arsenal are keen on a possible £23 million deal for Sami Khedira.

The German Real Madrid star was inconsistent for his club at the back end of last season, which has created speculation that he could be moved on by Carlo Ancelotti.

His contract expires at the end of next season and Los Blancos could sell him now rather than risk losing him on a free.

Lorenzo Insigne’s agent has denied reports over a potential move to Arsenal from AS Napoli.

Recent reports have suggested that Arsenal are keen on a €25 million deal for the 23-year-old winger.

“We have not been contacted by Arsenal for Lorenzo Insigne and Napoli has not notified us of this interest,” Fabio Andreotti told Radio Crc.
