This week’s Xbox releases – 30 June 2014: Far Cry Compilation incoming

Far Cry 3

Just a couple of releases for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles this week, although one is completely free for Xbox One owners.

Not much going on this week for Xbox owners, but that doesn’t mean the games below aren’t worth picking up. The Far Cry games are a must have for FPS fans, and Guacamelee! makes its debut to Xbox One as a completely free title for July. Take a look at the games and their trailers below.

Xbox 360

Far Cry Compilation – 1 July

For a taste of nostalgia, or if you’re just new to the Far Cry series, the compilation packages Far Cry 2, 3 and Blood Dragon together. With the release of Far Cry 4 later this year it could be worth picking up if you’re curious to see what the fuss is all about. The trailer below is for Far Cry: Blood Dragon, so don’t think all the games are as crazy as this – it’s a spin-off title set in the year 2007 which oozes 80s inspiration.

Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition – 2 July

A bulked-out version of the original Guacamelee!, the Super Turbo Championship Edition adds a whole load of new content, including new enemies and powers. And don’t forget, for those of you with an Xbox One signed up to a gold Xbox Live membership, it’s free to download for the month of July.

Will you be picking up either of these games this week? I’ll be grabbing myself Guacamelee! For sure, it’ free!
