Arsenal forward Joel Campbell posted a picture of the celebrations that followed Costa Rica's penalty shootout victory over Greece on Sunday evening.
The last-16 encounter went the distance after Bryan Ruiz's goal for Costa Rica was cancelled out in injury-time by Greece's Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
But the surprise package of the tournament ultimately qualified for the quarter-finals after Keylor Navas saved Theofanis Gekas's spot-kick before Michael Umana dispatched his to win the tie.
The result sent Costa Rica into a frenzy, with the streets of the capital San Jose filled with excited fans. Arsenal player Campbell later tweeted the scene in his homeland, as his side continue their fairy tale tournament.
Campbell may have been the Costa Rica player tipped to shine this summer, but Ruiz has - for now at least - pipped him to that title, adding to the goal that condemned Italy to an unlikely defeat in the group stage.
But whenever this adventure finally ends, it seems the Gunners will be getting a player who could be on top of the world when he finally sets about proving he has a future at Arsenal.
