All the latest summer transfer rumours from League One...
Notts County have already added Liam Noble and Alan Smith to their midfield this summer, and manager Shaun Derry has snapped up another one today with the arrival of former Preston midfielder Nicky Wroe. The 28-year-old spent most of last season on-loan with Shrewsbury Town and Oxford United, and was allowed to leave Preston at the end of the season when manager Simon Grayson chose not to extend his contract.
"I found my opportunities limited and just got the impression that maybe I wasn't in his plans," said Wroe. "After 15-20 games when guys are doing well you sometime have to have a rethink and try get out and play some games, so I went out on loan."
"It was tough, especially after the season I had previously at Preston which was decent. I wanted to really be playing like I had done, and like every footballer you don't like not playing, but the lads were doing well so I couldn't have too many gripes about it."
Yeovil Town have been busy today, making three signings as manager Gary Johnson looks to take the Glovers back to the Championship at the first time of asking. Goalkeeper Marek Stech has moved back to his native Czech Republic with Sparta Prague, and Johnson has snapped up two shot stoppers in Exeter's Artur Krysiak and former Yeovil man Chris Weale.
Former Liverpool defender Jakub Sokolik has also arrived at Huish Park following his exit from Anfield. The 20-year-old failed to make an appearance for the Reds during his five year spell with the club, but impressed during a loan spell with League Two side Southend United.
Scunthorpe United have returned to League One this summer, and have moved to improve their strike force amidst rumours over the future of star forward Sam Winnall. Sheffield United outcast Lyle Taylor has moved to Glanford Park for an undisclosed fee, and the 24-year-old is hopeful of faring better under Russ Wilcox.
"It didn't happen for me at Sheffield United but that's football. I'm looking forward to a fresh start," he said.
