New Saints boss Ronald Koeman has been trying to bring in two Eredivisie players in Feyenoord striker Graziano Pelle and Twente's Dusan Tadic, and the latter looks to be close to securing a move to the Premier League.
Dutch media outlet AD are reporting that FC Twente is set to sell the 25-year-old to Southampton for €12 million after the two clubs are alleged to have reached an agreement earlier today.
The Serbian is primarily a left-sided midfielder, though he can also operate on the right, and his arrival will be hugely welcomed by Southampton fans who have only seen departures in the past few weeks.
Rickie Lambert and Luke Shaw have already left the club for Liverpool and Manchester United respectively, while Adam Lallana is very close to joining Lambert on Merseyside.
Defender Dejan Lovren is also a target of The Reds and Tottenham, with Spurs also chasing Jay Rodriguez. Morgan Schneiderlin meanwhile has reportedly asked to leave the club amid Arsenal interest.
The list of exits seems to be endless and Southampton will need to rebuild their squad ahead of the new season with Ronald Koeman.
Despite the losses, The Saints will have plenty of transfer funds to invest into a new-look squad that Koeman can build over the next couple of months and Tadic could be the first arrival.
The Serbian has scored 28 goals in the Eredivisie over the past two seasons and is a real threat going forwards, and at just 25 could soften the blow of losing their star playmaker.
Tadic, who has represented Serbia 25 times, scored 16 goals with 14 assists in 33 league appearances and outperformed Adam Lallana in several key areas last season.

Lallana was incredible for Southampton last season, but Saints fans can be excited by the prospect of his potential replacement as Tadic was more of a threat in and around goal than the Liverpool-bound man.
The Twente midfielder created more chances per game and had more shots as well as successful passes than Lallana and finished the season with seven more goals and eight more assists despite playing five games less.
