All the latest summer transfer news from La Liga...
Almost every day, a new midfielder is linked with a move to Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti's side seem almost certain to buy a new midfielder to partner Luka Modric, and whilst the likes of Arturo Vidal, Toni Kroos and Ramires have all been linked in recent weeks, it's now Brazilian international Luiz Gustavo being suggested.
The former Bayern Munich man is currently with Wolfsburg, and has starred at the World Cup this summer. A natural holding midfield player, Gustavo looks to be the ideal player for Madrid. Spanish newspapers AS and El Confidencial appear convinced that Gustavo is now Real's top target, with a bid on the way after the World Cup.
Another midfielder being lined up for a move to Spain is former Inter Milan star Esteban Cambiasso. The 33-year-old is a free agent after leaving the Serie A club, and it's believed that Valencia are now looking to bring the former Real Madrid man back to Spain.
The Argentine missed out on a place in Alejandro Sabella's squad for the World Cup, but he offers vast experience to any club that wants to sign him - which is particularly appealing to Valencia, who lost Seydou Keita to Roma earlier this summer.
On the flip side, one midfielder who has been linked with an exit from La Liga is Atletico Madrid's Josuha Guilavogui. The French international signed from Saint-Etienne last summer, but failed to make much of an impact before being loaned back to the Ligue 1 side in January.
Whilst rumours have linked the 23-year-old with a permanent exit, reports today suggest that Guilavogui will instead look to prove his worth to manager Diego Simeone in a bid to prolong his career in the Spanish capital.
