Liverpool transfer news, Lallana expected to sign, more on Suarez, as more targets linked

A selection of the latest transfer news involving Liverpool Football Club this Monday morning.

Liverpool are expected to complete the signing of Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana today, after a fee was agreed between the two clubs prior to the weekend - thought to be around £25 million.

The Reds have been pursuing the 26-year-old for much of the summer and is set to be unveiled as their third summer signing following the arrivals of Rickie Lambert from Southampton, and Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen.

Barcelona are still interested in Luis Suarez according to the Daily Mirror, with the Reds demanding around £80 million for the striker, but given his latest indiscretion at the World Cup - biting Italy's Georgio Chiellini - the La Liga giants would want him to sign a 'bite clause', and want to do a deal of around £50 million - which may involve Alexis Sanchez.

It reports that Barca will offer the Uruguayan £160,000 a week on a five-year deal, which is a reduction on the wages he currently earns at Anfield.

Liverpool are still leading the race for Belgium's teenage striker Divock Origi according to the Liverpool Echo but have yet to agree a fee for the 19-year-old. The deal is likely to involve Origi being loaned back to Lille for a season in order to aid his development.

Liverpool are keen to finalise a deal for Xherdan Shaqiri from Bayern Munich according to the Daily Star, reporting that the Reds lodged a £15 million bid for the playmaker prior to the World Cup.

Costa RIca's goalkeeper Keylor Navas is believed to attracting the interest of Liverpool along with other clubs according to the Daily Mail.

The Mail reports that there is a £6.5 million clause in the Levante stopper's contract, which has also attracted the attentions of Atletico Madrid, Arsenal and Everton.
