Chelsea transfer news: Filipe Luis update, Hazard on Rodriguez, next van Aanholt?

Stamford Bridge Inside

All the latest Chelsea transfer rumours and news from Stamford Bridge featuring Atletico defender, Eden on World Cup hero and a loan deal.

There may be developments in Chelsea's pursuit of an Ashley Cole replacement as The Express imply that Jose Mourinho may be ready to capitalise on potential player unrest at Atletico Madrid.

The Express claim that "reports in Spain" suggest that the player is unhappy over his salary package - something he could no doubt maximise by transferring to Chelsea - and wants to secure the switch in order to help boost his chances of first-team progression in the Brazil squad.

Atletico have already made plans for their future without Luis by acquiring the services of his compatriot Guilherme Siqueira.

The obstacle in the path of Luis' transfer, though, is a difference in opinion over the asking price - £19 million - with Roman Abramovich apparently unwilling to offer that much.

Elsewhere, Chelsea have confirmed the loan deal that will see Wallace join a familiar club to Blues supporters - Vitesse Arnham, a club who have previously taken on players like Patrick van Aanholt and Gael Kakuta.

Wallace, an attack-minded right back, has represented Brazil at Under-20 level and will spend the whole season with the Eredivisie team.

And finally, Eden Hazard has told the press that he has been inspired by James Rodriguez, who is making a case for the best player at the World Cup tournament with his nation Colombia: "I have looked at what the other stars have done and try to take as much inspiration from them as possible," he said.

"Have I been impressed by Messi, Neymar and Rodriguez? Of course I have been and I know there are many good players in my position."
