Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire latest trailer

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

An exciting new trailer has not only revealed three new mega evolutions, but also some awesome primal legendary pokemon.

A new Hoenn trailer for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire has revealed that Swampert and Sceptile will now be receiving mega forms, in addition to the one of the newer legendary pokemon, Diancie.

The plot will recreate the memorable experience of Generation 3: Two Prehistoric legendary pokemon, Kyogre and Groudon are in a long dormant slumber after being devolved and weakened from their powerful forms, following a long and brutal battle which ceased after a prehistoric dragon, Rayquaza weakened their primal energy and ended the conflict between the two collossal giants. Three orbs were created, one red, one blue and one jade in order to channel the power of these prehistoric pokemon and sustain their slumber. However, these orbs possess the ability to control or enrage these legendary pokemon, which will not only awaken the pokemon from their slumber, but they also possess the power to transform these pre-historic pokemon to their primal forms which will give them complete control over the land and sea.

The player in the early stages of the game is tasked with delivering a letter to the champion of Hoenn, Steven Stone, regarding a conspiracy concerning the awakening of the pre-historic pokemon. Two Eco-terrorist criminal organizations, both aware of the existence of these orbs, have a master plan to use these orbs to channel the primal energy of the pre-historic pokemon to reshape the Terrain of the planet. Team Aqua wish to use Kyogre to expand the sea, and Team Magma wish to use Groudon to expand the landmass. Inevitably, a conflict arises between these two organisations and the residents of Hoenn are not too happy.

It is up to the player to track down the opposing criminal organizations, Aqua (Alpha Sapphire) or Magma (Omega Ruby) however, since these are reboots, you will likely be taking on both simultaneously, just as you did in Emerald. Your mission is not only to become the greatest trainer in Hoenn, but to take down the criminal organizations, restore peace to Hoenn, unwravel it's mysteries and fill your pokedex. Oh, and we think we are onto something here, but Arceus the creator of pokemon is found in the Hall of Origin in 4th Gen, could the Cave of Origin in Sootopolis City have any connection? We can only wait and see.

The primal forms of Kyogre and Groudon have been created as battle forms, making them much larger and much more powerful, it's very likely that Rayquaza will also receive a primal battle form - we were unaware this dragon could get any more bad-ass than it already is. The very last moments of the trailer reveal Groudon using its renowned 1-Hit-KO move "Fissure", and Kyogre using it's icy equivalent "Sheer Cold".

Check out the trailer and let us know what you think! We're very excited!
